Made for moonlight

Built by Jason and Liz Hartong on the same eight-acre forest as their famous Upward Treehouse, Moon Honey is the grown-ups’ hideaway — the perfect place for a honeymoon, an anniversary, or a surprise romantic getaway.

Ground level

A door in the tree

Your front door is set right into the trunk. Around the base of the tree: a fire pit and a covered patio, with seating in both places — the spot for s'mores, starlight and slow conversation.

A spiral staircase winds up through the treehouse — 44 steps to the top. You'll want to be comfortable with stairs and high balconies with half rails.

Level two

Living, kitchen & the catwalk

The living room with TV and wifi, a fully stocked kitchen, laundry, and a full bath with an indoor/outdoor shower — then step out onto the veranda and its 360-degree catwalk.

Level three

The treetop bedroom

A king bed with a 360-degree treetop view, a half bath, and a kitchenette with an AM & PM bar — coffee in the morning, drinks at night, birdwatching in between.
